1. Access to information
The Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000 (PAIA), as amended, provides a framework for requesting access to records held by public and private bodies in South Africa where the statutory requirements are met.
2. CoreXalance PAIA manual
CoreXalance is preparing the formal private-body PAIA manual for publication with the production website. The manual will describe the categories of records held by CoreXalance, records available without a formal request where applicable, the process for requesting access, prescribed forms and fees, and the contact details of the relevant Information Officer / head of the private body.
3. Information still to be confirmed for the final manual
- company registration number;
- registered and business addresses;
- Information Officer and any Deputy Information Officer particulars;
- final categories of records and statutory records maintained;
- records automatically available, if any; and
- the final request-handling route and prescribed-form process.
4. Requests before the final manual is published
For website-launch preparation, PAIA-related queries can be directed to CoreXalance using the contact details below. CoreXalance company particulars and Information Officer details are now recorded below. The final PAIA manual should still be legally reviewed before publication.
5. Information Regulator guidance
The Information Regulator publishes a PAIA guide and a private-body manual template, together with procedures and complaint channels for access-to-information matters.
