At Corexalance we feel very passionate about serving our clients holistically and that is why the CoreCredit Sessions were developed.
The first session for 2015, Credit vs. Sales, is coming up in July! Why is this session so important you ask? Well, have you ever heard the saying, ‘give credit where credit is due?’
In this instance, this statement is very ironic, and the Credit vs. Sales Session deals with the on-going war between the Credit Department and the Sales Department. Both are equally important, both are equally valuable, both are equally deserving of credit and both are equally responsible for making a deal a win/win situation for the company.
It is imperative that the two departments learn to work together and stop fighting for dominance. Each department sees the other as a necessary evil, the opposition and the department that makes their lives difficult. This attitude will not be conducive for a healthy working environment.
Can you imagine what might happen if we challenge the Credit Department and the Sales Department to swap places for a few days, taking a moment to ‘walk a mile in someone else’s shoes?’ How would their opinions change? Seeing things from a different perspective might just adjust a few attitudes and create an environment for better understanding.
