We are very excited to announce our new monthly feature – 20 Questions with…. Each month we will interview one of our Media Owners and ask them a few fun questions in order to get to know them better.
For our first post, we interviewed Betsie Els from The Citizen. Betsie won our Credit Professional of the Year award last year and we thought she would be the perfect person to interview first. Here are her answers to my very ‘tough’ questions.
1. How long have you been working at The Citizen?
“8 years”
2. What do you think makes a good Credit Manager?
“I think you need a bit of an attitude and you need to be approachable.”
3. What do you enjoy most about your job?
“Everything”
4. If you were stranded on an island and could only take 3 things, what would you take?
“Water, sunblock and my husband”
5. What is your favourite day of the week, and why?
“Sunday, because it is laid back and calm. There is no stress”
6. If you were a box of cereal, what would you be and why?
“Rice Krispies, because snap crackle and pop. It’s never boring.”
7. If you won the lotto, what would you do with the money?
“Help others”
8. If you were a food, what type of food would you be?
“Steak – everyone loves a good steak”
9. If you were not a Credit Manager, what would you be?
“The President”
10. If you were a Superhero, what would your Superpower be?
“Being invisible”

“Chocolate – it is my favourite!”

“Sandra Bullock”

“For my grandchildren’s sake, yes!”

“Seeing other people happy”

“A dog. But a rich person’s dog, so that I can be spoiled”
